Jodie Morgan is the chief executive officer of Nexus Circular based in Atlanta, Georgia. Nexus is a leading circular waste-plastics operation that converts waste plastics, formerly bound for landfills and oceans, into their original components to create new materials. Nexus has already sold more than 250,000 gallons of fuel and raw material, diverting more than 1,000 tons of waste plastics from landfills.
Previously, Morgan served as the chief executive officer of GreenMantra Technologies, a leader in advanced recycling that transforms hard-to-recycle plastics into specialty waxes. Before GreenMantra, Morgan served as the chief operating officer and president of Solazyme Roquette, a biotech start-up, and Pinova Inc., a 100-year-old specialty chemical company based on renewable resources.
A graduate of the University of Delaware in mechanical engineering, Morgan also earned an MBA in finance from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
As a passionate Board member, Morgan is committed to governance and is active with The National Association of Corporate Directors, The Women Corporate Directors and NanoXplore. She previously served as a board member for several organizations such as Bartek (TorQuest: Canada), GreenMantra (Canada), Pinova, Inc. (TorQuest: US) and Getec Industrial (Brazil).
